Other news I retired after 28 years with the FBI on June 1, 2001 (3 months before 9/11).
When I discovered that the newest Agent joining me on the SWAT team was born
the year I came into the Bureau (1973), I figured it was probably a good time
for me to leave.
After five weeks of "retirement", I took a position with the Montgomery
County Prosecutors Office in Dayton as a Criminal Investigator in the Fraud &
Economic Crimes Division. I'm still there, plugging away along with several other
"double-dippers".
My wife Pam and I will be celebrating our 33rd Wedding Anniversary on July
24, 2004. She has agreed to accompany me to the HHS 40th, but she did mention
that I'd owe her "big-time".
Our son Nate (age 28) works in Cleveland, and he and his wife Cathy are in
process of moving from Parma to Brunswick. Our daughter Kristin (age 26) lives
and works in Columbus, and is getting married here in Centerville on May 15,
2004. Our youngest, Janine (age 22) is graduating from the U. of Toledo on May
8th. We have no grandchildren, but two grand-dogs. (No, we don't carry their
photos in our wallets)
The only Class of '64 reunion that I have attended (so far) was the 25th, so
I'm eagerly anticipating renewing old friendships and acquaintances at the
40th! (while I still have some hair left) I remember when my Dad came back to
Massachusetts in 1974 for his 40th high school reunion (when I was assigned to
the Boston FBI Office). He seemed pretty old at the time, but now I realize
that he was only 'middle-aged" (right?)
Ed Heald and I are looking for anyone interested in playing some golf,
sometime during the Reunion weekend. (Drop me a line or E-mail)
Hope to see you in July!
