Honoring Classmates Who Are No Longer With Us

To those we miss we'll say, "Goodby,"
and know that they will forever remain just 17 in our hearts.

Vickie Arnold Morris

Vickie died in 1989 at the age of 43.  She had been a flight attendant.

Chuck Bonen

Chuck was killed in a traffic accident in November 1996 while bringing his son home from school. A car went left of center and hit his car head on. Though his son survived without lasting injuries, Chuck died at the scene. His son said the last thing his father did was throw his arm across him to hold him back to keep him safe. Chuck owned his own business. He is survived by his wife Nancy and children David, Kim, Christopher, Timothy and Cherie and granddaughter Lauren.

George Coulton

George passed away several years ago..

Cheryl Ducra

The following was posted by Laurie, Cheryl’s daughter, on the discussion board at Classmates.com

Hi, I'm Cheryl's daughter, Laurie. Mom graduated in 1964. Her brothers George & Dave graduated a few years later, and her sister, Linda, graduated around 1970 (I think). Thought you might like an update on everyone: George is now in New Jersey, doing fine. Dave is in California, also fine. Linda now lives in Arkansas, but is doing consulting work around the country. Unfortunately, Mom died of breast cancer in 1996 at the age of 48. If anyone would like to reach my aunt or uncle, please drop me a line under the Bedford High School class of 86.

Laurie also writes:
Until her death, mom worked as an Office Manager for Miles Rubber Company in Twinsburg, Ohio. She was very involved as a volunteer 4-H leader for the Summit County Saddle Horse program. She lived long enough to meet her first grandchild, Drew, who was born in 1995. Since she died, I had another child, a daughter named Sara who looks very much like mom. My sister, Dana, got married in 1999. Mom and Dad (Sam Edwards) divorced in 1987, but they remained friends.

Dave Gibson

Dave passed away in 2003.

Myron Hart

Myron worked on one of the reunions and loved getting together with his classmates.  He owned a landscaping business and met with an unfortunate accident in 2001.  He is survived by his loving wife, Rita, and two children.

Alexis McKinney writes:  I know that you all know who Myron Hart was; many of us went to school together from kindergarten through 12th grade. During my school years, Myron Hart treated me with such kindness and such respect that I never forgot him. By our 25th reunion, Myron had retired from the service and had started his own business.  What I want to share with you is how much Myron cared.  Myron once told me that he cared about every member of our class, and he looked forward to seeing each one of you. Myron and his wife Rita were always trying to find people to add to the class roster, and trying to encourage people to get together.  After the 25th reunion, Myron, Rita, and daughter Jessica, drove countless times from Michigan to Hudson for over 12 years, sometimes with only a few hours notice, to meet with a visiting classmate even if just for a few hours. Myron left behind a wonderful wife, son, and daughter, a beautiful home, and successful business and a military career that speaks for itself.  Myron was active in his church and his town, but he was never too busy to help someone or just hang out. He was always just a phone call away.  I was privileged to be called his friend.    I miss you Myron.

Barb Pardee writes:
I can only say that Lexi has said it all.  Myron found time to visit me when he can home on leave from the service and always remembered everything about everyone.  He was truly a Good Soul. Rita always wanted copies of the photos I took at 2 of the reunions but I never got around to it.  Here they are:
